Well…I’m graduating college in less than two weeks. Less than two weeks…
I’m still not sure how to obtain this information without wanting to cry, scream, laugh and smile all at the same time. It’s one of those times in your life when adulthood slaps you across the face but it’s surprisingly a good, weird feeling.
I’m ready to finally “grow up” because Ohio University acted as Neverland to all of its Lost Boys like myself. We were wild children running across the bricks of College Green and Court Street. All of the crazy kids were jumping from one adventure to another and rarely had regrets. (Maybe they had some regrets, but it was all fun and games in the end).
Adulthood is so near but I’m excited to see what adventures my friends and I will be experiencing. I have a lifetime full of memories from my three, short years in Athens, Ohio. I can’t thank my friends and family enough for believing in me, supporting me and constantly telling me everything will be more than OK. I’m forever grateful for them. I’m forever grateful for this past chapter of my life. With less than two weeks left, adulthood is telling me to turn the page to my next one.
For now, all I have to say is “thank yOU.”
